We are excited to announce the beginning of our Beer 101 Lecture Series! These will be monthly lectures that follow the beer-making process step-by-step. We will aim to make it easy for everyone to understand, but even experienced home-brewers may learn a thing or two as we go in-depth into various topics.

The first lecture will be all about MALTING. Before the brewing process even begins, barley and other grains must be malted. Back in 2014, Michelle attended a week-long course in malting at North Dakota State University. She will dig out her extensive notes from that week, along with pictures from touring an industrial malting plant, to show you the first step in the grain-to-glass process.
